"What shall I do in Bethlehem?"
said the man who would be king.

"If I go into the woman's womb,
      I must come out again.

"To be born in pain and to die in pain
is the circular lot of men.

"If I into Bethlehem,
      what will become of me?"

There's never any guarantee,
said the other side of his brain.

We choose our paths for the sake of growth,
but they all end at the tomb.

We may win the heights where the angels sing,
or we may fail to gain.

If you really want to know the truth,
      life's just a remarkable game.
