SIGNS and PORTENTS

Disembarking from the plane,
I saw the sign "Wilkommen heim."

       It was an omen.

Three days we shared our vision, laughter, magic--
Visited places we'd not viewed before, of inner and outer worlds.
Our former wisdom quantum factoring,
We saw the ribbons of our hearts entwine,
In ancient Scandinavian design,
Never to be unwoven.

After our precious morning spent together, you hugged me close and
       whispered, "Welcome home."

I am so glad I found myself in you.
